In a recent sermon, Evang Dr. Gospel Agochukwu JP delved into the profound notion that being rich isn't solely about having money but about being contented with what you have. This enlightening message was delivered under the topic “My Seat Will Not Be Empty,” drawing from 1 Samuel 20:18.
BEING RICH IS NOT ABOUT HAVING MONEY BUT BEING CONTENTED WITH WHAT YOU HAVE.
GO AND MAKE MONEY LEGITIMATELY, THE WORLD HAS NO RESPECT FOR BROKE PEOPLE.
POORVERTY "POOR" IS A STATE "VERTY" IS A DEMON
Everyone has a seat and destiny. Destiny is God's divine plan for a person.
Some are born to be highflyers, but because their seat is empty, they die as low crawlers. They are born prominent, but because their seat is empty, they end up insignificant.
Everyone has their place and position. There is no competition in destiny. (1 Corinthians 15:41)
There is a seat for everyone. What is yours has already been reserved for you. (1 Samuel 9:23-24)
TOMORROW SIGNIFIES THE FUTURE
There are people who labor hard, but in the future, there is no reward.
There are powers waiting for you at the peak of your tomorrow to ensure that you do not have a secure future.
The Israelites arrived at the river of Marah and could not drink from it because the water was bitter. Powers had gone ahead of them to make it so.
There is nothing for you if you do not have a future. If you do not fight for your tomorrow, you shall be missed.
NEW MOON SIGNIFIES A SEASON
It is normal to pass through tough times, but when it exceeds a certain period, witchcraft may be involved.
Job suffered for a while, and God restored him.
There are people who, when it is their season, are nowhere to be found.
There are people who, instead of rejoicing in their season, are weeping. (Psalm 137:1-2)
Things you must do for your seat not to be empty
1. You must build quality relationships
Relationships are the foundation for a glorious future. A relationship is a state of connection that binds people together.
To have a reservation in life is to have a place in the hearts of people.
If you are quick to ask things from people, you will delete yourself from their future.
Your relationship with God must be strong and paramount, but you cannot move God if you are not moving with men.
You need a relationship with both God and man. God will not come down to bless you; He passes through people to bless you.
It was a good relationship with Jonathan that saved David and secured his position in the palace.
Mary established a good relationship with Jesus by anointing His feet. (John 11:2)
There is no perfect relationship on earth. A time must come when disagreements will arise between you and your helpers, but what keeps it going is not allowing the disagreement to override the good times in the relationship.
2. You must live a righteous life
A life of purity reserves a place for you in heaven.
Purity is one of the altars that puts a reservation for you in God's kingdom.
There is a place for everyone in heaven, but without holiness, you cannot have access to God. It is only by the mercies of the Lord that we are not consumed. (Ecclesiastes 9:8, John 14:3, 1 John 5:17)
3. You must have money
The world has no respect for broke people. Go and hustle.
Poverty is not just a state but a mentality.(Proverbs 23:7)
There are certain battles you can fight and conquer if you have money.
Having money is not evil; it is the love of money that is evil.
A poor man has no voice or relatives. (Ecclesiastes 9:15, Proverbs 14:20, James 2:3)
Being rich is not about having all the wealth, but being content with what you have. (1 Timothy 6:6)
God does not bless people; God blesses the works of their hands.
PRAYERS
1. Spirit of poverty hanging around my life and family, I command you to die.
2. Powers occupying my seat, I command you to die.
